COI and advertisement

This article seems to be mainly about outsourcing yet advocates the term Outsourcing Relationship Management -- not unknown, but certainly not as pervasive as the article suggests. The illustration was created by by Accelrus Technology Group[1], which links to janeeva.com for "outsourcing relationship management". Michael J. Young, the sole proprietor of Accelrus Technology Group, is the vice-president of marketing at Jeneeva.[2]

Busy Stubber - thanks for the feedback. This is my second revision of the Outsourcing relationship management page and I've really tried to stick to the rules. I didn't attempt to mask my ID when I created the article (as you readily discovered). BTW, I'm no longer an employee of Janeeva (and wasn't at the time I wrote the article). Here's where I am with this article:
For reference, see the article on Customer relationship management. CRM is very much similar to ORM: it's defined around management discipline, organizational structure/processes and underlying technologies. They really are inseparable. Much of the CRM article is about the technology providers, for example. In the ORM article, I tried to include a structure around these three areas and I referenced all of the relevant (and competitive) technology providers, not just Janeeva. I believe it is important that we get a working definition up on Wikipedia, especially at this relatively early stage of development of ORM (< 6 years). I'll do what I can to fix this up. But I'm not sure how to "clean up" this article because I don't see how it reads like an advertisement (maybe I'm too close to it...). I do notice that another contributor has already put in some additional relevant background. Accelrus (talk) 20:42, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Advantages of Outsourcing

With the country in turmoil financially companies are looking for ways to cut their budgets. One way of doing this is by outsourcing certain functions of their business so that they don't have pay all the expenses associated with in house employees. Almost everything can be outsourced now, wage and accounting for sales and computer programming. Offering offshore or domestic third parties may have proved cheaper and more efficient services as employees and,to be a very useful tool for virtually all major companies.

The biggest and most obvious incentive for outsourcing is to save the money. Depending on the size and scope of the enterprise, outsourcing provides the types of cost-cutting option that requires a small or medium business to survive in a global economy is - in which so much depends on the ability to offer the same service as big companies.

Outsourcing is save more than money though. It also allows a company, its activities by tasks that might otherwise absorb optimize valuable in-house resources. Instead, devote whole departments or buildings to shipping, distribution and telecommunications, the company can outsource these tasks and work with a smaller selection of employees that have a higher qualification.

This works on a second level. In addition to removing excess building activity and employment,> Outsourcing eliminates the need for additional training, recruitment and maintenance of new employees, a process that often tens of thousands of dollars for each new setting. Offer an outsourcing company or companies will be qualified, well-maintained work regardless of your circumstances, without the care about sales or disputes.

Because of the cost it takes to a large staff of employees at any given time, is particularly useful in outsourcing companies in markets that require a lead time as short as possible. Technology companies, in particular must be able to develop, manufacture, and ship the product as quickly as possible, while maintaining the quality in this process. Outsourcing allows them to do this without increasing costs. Outsource companies that are still the same size, additional projects, and to keep the core projects and tasks can be internally a superior product and much more efficient in theProcess.
