Article is not encyclopedic in nature, reads as a promotional advertisement similar to their website story, propose speedy-deletion. Only the first paragraph in the first section seems relevant. Propose to delete everything below it.Everestrecords (talk) 09:47, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Whilst you are welcome to make changes to the article, I'm afraid that it does not qualify as a candidate for speedy deletion, which requires that an article meet extremely strict criteria. I have therefore removed the speedy deletion request from this page. If you feel that the current tone is too promotional (it's certainly too discursive, and contains a number of peacock statements) then by all means edit it to make the necessary improvements. Thank you for your advise. I thought the first paragraph is the only encyclopedic content, and removed the rest, which was mainly advertisement and marketing. I left their 3 webpages/websites, which provide all of the advertisement content, and history-advertisement, and product information. Unfortunate so many companies use an encyclopedia for advertising. Most get away with it because no one takes the time to hold them accountable. Having their 3 websites listed is more than enough, along with their wikipedia listing and brief history.Everestrecords (talk) 07:52, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The company sponsors a mountaineer who was recently revealed by Outside Magazine to have drug-doped for his 2010 and 2012 Mt. Everest climbs. [[1]] 13 paragraph from the bottom. The mountaineer is readily listed on many of their webpages as a sponsored mountaineer. Will consider adding this as a kind of "controversy" section to the main article, eg, Outdoor Research has sponsored a mountaineer who was revealed by Outside Magazine to engage in drug-doping for his Mt. Everest without-supplemental-oxygen climbing attempts.Everestrecords (talk) 07:52, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
