This article was created as a subtopic of Ottoman architecture, to cover several decorative traditions (especially tile and paint) which have their own long evolutions to trace, which do not always line up conveniently with other stages of Ottoman architecture in general and thus don't fit neatly into other subarticles like Classical Ottoman architecture etc. The decorative mediums also share many parallels with each other (e.g. in the types of motifs), which makes it useful to cover them in an article like this. The corresponding material at Ottoman architecture will be condensed for WP:SUMMARYSTYLE; see Talk:Ottoman architecture for some context on this. The title ("Ottoman architectural decoration") has been chosen for this context, but can be revised if needed. I'm not sure if simply "Ottoman decoration" would be sufficient, or whether that's too vague and would include decorative arts. R Prazeres (talk) 21:36, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
