A number of breweries beat Oscar Blues to the punch. http://allaboutbeer.com/article/canned-mythology/
- I have edited the page to take into account the preceding unsigned statement and the citation. I reverted edits possibly made by same anonymous editor because they attributed statements to cited authors which the authors never made. The point that the anon. was trying to make was incorporated into the body of the article. Thanks for the heads up, but please watch out for changing things that are cited! [edit]Article reads like an infomercial and needs some serious trimming. Chuckiesdad/Talk/Contribs 04:35, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Even 4 months after the above comment-- it still reads like an infomercial.
Two years later and it's still obviously written by the brewery. I can't clean up the entire thing, but I'm at least removing the "Why Can?" section, which has language such as "Why cans? Oskar Blues thought the idea of their bold, hoppy pale ale squeezed into a little can was hilarious. It made them laugh for weeks." and "Oskar Blues' uncanny efforts have also allowed them to enjoy some head-spinning excitement". 97.124.180.224 (talk) 01:08, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
Oskar Blues and other CANarchy breweries sold to Monster Beverage
[edit]Didn't you know? In 2022 Oskar Blues, along with other CANARCHY brewery member companies and private-equity firm Fireman Capital Partners, was sold to Monster Beverage for a reported $330 million. 2600:6C5E:467F:986F:9C07:4115:3225:A517 (talk) 03:18, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
