- New enough and long enough. QPQ present. No textual issues; Earwig is catching quotes and article titles. I do think the hook is too promotional (a number of streams) and would like to see Dugan Murphy suggest some better hooks. I'm trying to sort out the status of the image on Commons as it has a partially substed permission template. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 18:48, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
- The image: I just got a notification today from Wikimedia that the photographer has yet to send in the email releasing the copyright, so I understand if that makes it a poor choice for this nomination. How about this one instead? The photographer sent in the email releasing the copyright. Dugan Murphy (talk) 20:43, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
- The hook: I get what you're saying. How about ALT1, which I just added above? Dugan Murphy (talk) 20:43, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Dugan Murphy: Permission did come through for the second added image (Oshima Brothers Marathon Center 2022.jpg instead of Oshima Brothers.jpg) and I have replaced the nomination. I also approve ALT1. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 21:45, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
Multiple issues tag
[edit]@Asparagusus: What about this article do you think justifies a multiple issues tag? Dugan Murphy (talk) 03:58, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
- Maybe I was a little bit too harsh with the advert tag, but I did find some words that were a little POV:
- "...by which time they boasted..."
- "...their most ambitious tour..."
- "...The more domestic brother..."
- Also, most of the sources are primary or interviews, but that's hard to avoid with musicians. I'll take a stab at cleaning it up and I'll at least remove the advert tag.
- Asparagusus (talk) 14:04, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification and for your help improving the article! I see what you're saying with those POV examples. I reworded the ones you mentioned but hadn't yet fixed yourself, plus I reworded a few other phrases with POV in mind. Do you still feel the POV tag is necessary? And if so, what other examples do you see? Dugan Murphy (talk) 11:50, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Asparagusus: I forgot to ping you in my response 2 days ago. Please see above. Dugan Murphy (talk) 14:09, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for pinging me. I think it's removable now. I'll go ahead and do it.

The Youtube interview is not from an official account, but there's no copyright issue and it's not used for anything controversial.
- File:Oshima Brothers.jpg is tagged on Commons as having insufficient permissions and liable for deletion.
- Thank you for bringing this up! I hadn't noticed this tag, so I just contacted the photographer asking her to send a new email releasing the copyright. I didn't realize until just now that her initial email was insufficient. On the assumption that it will take more than a day or two to resolve this issue and have the tag removed, do I need to remove the image for now in order to pass GAN? Dugan Murphy (talk) 22:47, 4 September 2022 (UTC)
- If you leave it in, I can't pass the article till the issue is resolved. I think the best thing would be to remove it, and re-add it when you get the tag sorted out. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 00:34, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- Image removed. Dugan Murphy (talk) 02:31, 5 September 2022 (UTC)

medium.com is listed at WP:RS/PS as an unreliable source- I didn't realize! I have removed any content supported by medium.com that is not supported by another source. Dugan Murphy (talk) 22:47, 4 September 2022 (UTC)
What makes hanginandsangin.libsyn.com a reliable source?- It's the podcast of Kelly McCartney, who is a prolific music journalist published by NPR ([1]) and quoted as a source by the LA Times ([2]), for example. Dugan Murphy (talk) 22:47, 4 September 2022 (UTC)
There's no source for the discography.- I am under the impression that discography sections of articles about musicians don't need citations, because the works themselves are presumed to be the source. WP:DISCOGSTYLE supports this, I think. See the featured articles Mariah Carey#Discography, Alice in Chains#Discography, The Beatles#Discography, Nirvana (band)#Discography, and R.E.M.#Discography, to name a few examples.
