[edit]I think that it is a bit of a scandal that this article is so short. Lewis was an extremely important American social scientist. Can't you get an anthropologist of the older generation to contribute a better description of his work ? Cognoscente18 (talk) 17:04, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Does anybody know if this is the same Oscar Lewis who wrote a book called "The Lost Years", which is a work of speculative fiction with the premise that Lincoln survived his assassination attempt? Smaxam (talk) 05:39, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
This Oscar Lewis should not be confused with Oscar Lewis (1893-1992), who wrote mostly about California and Western history and the fictional work that Smaxam asks about. http://lccn.loc.gov/n50049586 VickieP (talk) 02:08, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
