Encoding Errors with Osage Script
[edit]Not sure how to fix this, otherwise I would have taken a stab at it already, but I just want to bring this to everyone's attention in case y'all weren't aware of it. SomeEnlightenedNarcissist (talk) 20:17, 10 December 2019 (UTC)

Alphabet?
[edit]Why is this article titled alphabet? Every time I've seen it used in reference to the Osage written language, it's always to disclaim it. "Osage is an orthogtaphy, not an alphabet." I have no references on hand, but I know it's been stated in the Osage News more than once. Can we change this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Artheartsoul1 (talk • contribs) 21:15, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
- Osage has both an alphabet and an orthography. This article is about the alphabet. An alphabet is a set of characters. An orthography is a set of rules for using an alphabet to represent a language. Compare, for example, Greek alphabet to Greek orthography. Gorobay (talk) 02:14, 31 August 2016 (UTC)
