Box trade example

[edit]

I was wondering if recent fuss about $4 billion dollar in puts, so called "bin Laden trades", are worth of mentioning here since it looks like these trades are part of a box-trade[1]. SalvNaut 22:17, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ok, but please don't call them bin laden trades and make sure the distinction is made that these were done as a source of funding, not as catastrophe insurance. The explanation from Dan Perper at Peak6 is the correct one. Ronnotel 00:13, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Graphics needed

[edit]

Each type of spread discussed should have a small graphic showing profit at expiration versus stock price at expiration.

I would put them in myself, but I don't have what it takes to prepare them.
