New album and release date redundancy

[edit]

I noticed Opeth's new album and release date are mentioned at the end of the first and third paragraphs. Is that necessary? Larphenflorp (talk) 05:04, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Opeth compilations

[edit]

How come there are no compilations that opeth has appeared on? I bet there's a bajillion. Maybe I answered my own question. Maybe. Leitmotiv (talk) 20:49, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bleak is not a music video

[edit]

Bleak is just a promo video, exact footage from the dvd The Roundhouse Tapes. It doesn't count as a music video, just for mtv. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.155.104.252 (talk) 19:47, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Had you used the edit summary to say this the first time, I wouldn't have reverted you. :) Nymf hideliho! 14:58, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2006 Box Set

[edit]

The 2006 box set has been known by two different titles in various places on Wikipedia: either as simply "Opeth Box Set" or as "Collecter's Edition Slipcase" which is the large caption on the box cover. Neither of these seems really adequate to me but the second is more descriptive. That is also the current title of the relevant album article, after some other editors discussed the same confusion at that article's talk page. Therefore I have changed all references around Wikipedia to "Collecter's Edition Slipcase" for consistency. This is probably not ideal and arguments could be made for using "Opeth Box Set" throughout WP as well. In any case, this is the correct place for discussing the matter. --DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 23:25, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edit wars

[edit]

There is an ongoing dispute between myself and User:DingirXul. I have tried confronting him or her via their talk page, but my edits were reverted once again without a response. Cathartica (talk) 10:04, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's worth noting that Blabbermouth is not published by Roadrunner Records, it's simply hosted by Roadrunner. Also Rovi is the publisher of allmusic - allmusic isn't a publisher, it's a website. 'UK Charts' isn't a publisher either. We really need some clue as to why the changes were made and reverted - it's a big diff and presumably every aspect of the change isn't controversial? Are there some parts of the edit that you can agree on but specific parts that you can't?--Michig (talk) 07:17, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that Allmusic isn't the publisher and that it's Rovi Corporation. Same with the UK Charts / Charts Stats ref. That wasn't me. My edits actually fixed those errors and the other guy reverted them back to how they were, which however did have Roadrunner Records as the publisher rather than Blabbermouth.net. All of them should be correct now. Not sure about the new UK ref for Zobbel. Cathartica (talk) 17:19, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Reverting again while this discussion is ongoing isn't a good idea. If there are any further reverts someone's likely to get blocked.--Michig (talk) 17:40, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
He just reverted my edits again, without any reason, so I'm just gonna leave it at that. Cathartica (talk) 01:11, 30 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Questions - What is the particular content dispute? What are the two positions? What sources are available that are relevant? The discussion above in this RfC is too vague, and focusing too much on behavior. An RfC should focus on specific content issues (what material to put in the article, how to word it, etc). --Noleander (talk) 20:16, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lead

[edit]

This article may be a featured list, but I really think somebody who has a way with words should completely rewrite the lead. Regards. 81.83.142.134 (talk) 18:43, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
