This term for the Popeye missions appears only in Jack Anderson's column in 1971 and the terms only appear together (not seperately as in seperate operations). While the names were later accepted by DOD in the senate hearings as meaning a reference to the rainmaking operations in Laos, its unclear if they were ever used. The name for the operation inside the miltiary was "motorpool". At a policy level, Popeye or "Pop Eye" was used through 1968.
