Half truth

[edit]

I have tagged this article with a POV clean-up tag because in "Nationalism, Identity and Statehood in Post-Yugoslav Montenegro"[1] author Kenneth Morrison also mentions that cynics suggested the operation was an attempt by state security to influence voting on the eve of the parliamentary elections. A 17 October 2006 media release from Amnesty International [2] says the arrested men were tortured by the Police because of their Albanian ethnicity. The Albanian American Civic League [3] claimed the operation was a political ploy to disrupt the local Albanian community's relationship with American Albanians. BalkainInsights also reported [4] that the government's account was disputed and that the Police had tortured the arrested men. Significantly, the article fails to mention that parliamentary elections occurred the day after the arrests. I also noticed that the single source of the text that the article relies upon is no longer accessible on-line. So, the article cannot be readily verified, either. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 12:15, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Two years late. I think I addressed those issues. If there are any other issues, you can give more feedback. StephenMacky1 (talk) 16:00, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
