"tactical victory"

[edit]

I see no source saying that was US tactical victory but user:Mztourist keep saying that. TDN92 (talk) 12:02, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

NYT January 2017 Opinion piece

[edit]

Notable comment from the VC in the NYT Opinion piece [1] "Frankly, we exaggerated stories of the brutal activities of the Americans and the numbers of American killed,” he said. “At that time, we needed that talk in order to encourage our comrades on the battlefields.” Mztourist (talk) 05:00, 5 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Strategic Hamlet Program

[edit]

I have recently edited the lede to link to Strategic Hamlet Program when "New Life Villages" are referenced. Can someone more familiar with this aspect of the Vietnam War confirm that I am correct in doing this? Also, if it is incorrect, feel free to revert. Thanks. 47.137.184.131 (talk) 06:16, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The Strategic Hamlet Program ended in 1963 so the link is incorrect. I'll have to look up the New Life Villages and add relevant details, thanks. Mztourist (talk) 09:14, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
