Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance. This is not a one-off event, it is one of the two top conferences on systems research world-wide, and it has been held 18 times so far, since 1994. It is completely analogous to all the other conferences under List of computer science conferences; for instance, SOSP, ASPLOS, SYSTOR, DSN are all conferences in roughly this area, and they all have their own article. Besides, many of the systems technologies that have been written about here on Wikipedia were first published at OSDI, e.g., MapReduce (at OSDI'04) and Bigtable (at OSDI'06), and it is difficult to write about them without having a way to refer to OSDI. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ahaeberlen (talkcontribs) 15:53, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
