Can someone with an account upload the logo ? It is from the project's own wiki and it states all content is under GNU FDL

POV

[edit]

I think that page says only how OpenGEU is beautiful. --87.8.68.169 (talk) 17:01, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do I have to improve the article myself?

[edit]

Hi everyone, I'm Luca D.M. (DarkMaster) and I'm am not managing to log in this wiki. Strange, since I'm logged in the Italian Wiki. Guess it's different then? Well, if it is this is werid, wikipedia should be international and not have me sign in many times in different languages but.. in any case, polemics apart, I wrote a good article in Italian. I think it is good and you can have a look at it, if you understand anything, to translate it and port it in this page. The previous article, a bare translation of this one (or maybe it was the opposite?) was really not neutral, neither is this IMHO. So, please, anyone, take care of it and see if you can translate my article for the English one, thank you :)
or do I have to translate it on my own? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.88.200.21 (talk) 14:49, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove the non-neutral sign

[edit]

Here i am again, the OpenGEU creator. I changed the page myself after subscribing to the English wiki. Now it is absolutely neutral, any administrator, please remove the impartial badge. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheDarkMaster (talkcontribs) 16:17, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article has now been independently re-edited to improve neutrality, and therefore the warning sign can be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zoeblackmore (talkcontribs) 23:31, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Plus, please add the pictures if you can

[edit]

As in the title, please add the pictures if you have the rights to do it, since I cannot do it, I'm subscribed in the English wiki since today ;)
You can find all of the pictures here, in the Italian OpenGEU Page. I would have been positively surprised if naming the pictures in the same way they are named in the Italian Wiki version would have made them appear in the English version too, it is really a shame that it doesn't happen, wikipedia would definitely gain some space from implementing something like this. As for the logo, find it here, it is opensourced and released under a GPL license as you can see form the wiki. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheDarkMaster (talkcontribs) 16:22, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

General notability guidelines??

[edit]

Sorry, this must be a mistake. Thousands of Linux distributions are on Wikipedia, why shouldn't this one? It is on distrowatch, it is a Linux distribution and the third more appreciated Ubuntu derivate in the world. So, why shouldn't it meet the general notability guidelines? This surely must be an error, so please review it and delete the status. Also, please remove the non-neutral sign as this article is 100% neutral, and that's not my opinion, it's a fact. Thank you very much to any member of the staff. comment added by TheDarkMaster (talkcontribs) TheDarkMaster (talk) 08:14, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I for one believe it is interesting to have one wikipedia: at least for users' technical interest. Any distro is a lot of work, and I believe wikipedia is forgetting that it is thought of as a one-stop shop for information on practically anything and everything: so why reduce content diversity?

Anyway, the article definitely needs english improvements. I think I'll work on those section-by-section, and de-POV the language...anyone is welcome to challenge those edits when they're made, however talk to me first if you're not a native english speaker.

Notes added please review

[edit]

I added the needed notes, now the article includes citations and is notable, please remove the warnings.

Recommendation to remove the non-neutral sign

[edit]

The article has now been independently re-edited to improve both neutrality and English and largely rewritten; and therefore the warning signs have now been removed.

I have just added archive links to 4 external links on OpenGEU. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
