Good article nomination successful

[edit]

This article is stable, neutral, well written, comprehensive, and cites reliable sources, so I am awarding it Good Article status. Just a couple of things you may wish to consider:

  • changing "positive reviews" in the lead to "mixed reviews" to correspond to what is said in the body of the article.
  • moving the list of personnel given near the end to the "Background and writing" section.
  • moving the "Charts" table to the end of the "Chart performance" section.

I wish you all the best with your editing... -- Johnfos 12:32, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

first goldfrapp song to use electric guitars?

[edit]

im not sure how accurate this statement as i think that Strict Machine on Black Cherry has electric gutars on it, not all the time, but there are parts that sound like electric guitars, there is a point at 1:18 or so into the song that sounds like it —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.1.65.70 (talk) 08:39, August 22, 2007 (UTC)

Name change

[edit]

As Wikipedia has an article called Ooh La La (Faces song), I believe the current title of this page, "Ooh La La (song)", does not disambiguate enough. Therefore, I propose will move this page to "Ooh La La (Goldfrapp song)" and have "Ooh La La (song)" as a disambiguation page. Any objections? AlexJ (talk) 20:27, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have no objections -- Underneath-it-All (talk) 23:15, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No objections expressed, so I've gone ahead and moved the page. I think I've managed to update every article to point to this new place, apologies if I've missed something. AlexJ (talk) 19:58, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA Sweeps: Kept

[edit]

As part of the WikiProject Good Articles, we're doing Sweeps to go over all of the current GAs and see if they still meet the GA criteria. I went through the article and made various changes, please look them over. I believe the article currently meets the criteria and should remain listed as a Good Article. Altogether the article is well-written and is still in great shape after its passing in 2007. Continue to improve the article making sure all new information is properly sourced and neutral. It would be a good idea to update the access dates for all of the online sources. In addition, the CD cover has been tagged with needing to be reduced in size since 2008. If you have any questions, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I have updated the article history to reflect this review. --Happy editing! Since Allmusic have changed the syntax of their URLs, 1 link(s) used in the article do not work anymore and can't be migrated automatically. Please use the search option on http://www.allmusic.com to find the new location of the linked Allmusic article(s) and fix the link(s) accordingly, prefereably by using the {{Allmusic}} template. If a new location cannot be found, the link(s) should be removed. This applies to the following external links:
