- "as Middlesex and Lambton County Road 22" mildly confusing, do you mean "as Middlesex County Road 22 and Lambton County Road 22"?
- "It initially passed" are back to talking about Highway 22?
- "Today, most of the" we tend to avoid that sort of lingo, what about "as of 2021"?
- "Outside of London" of not required.
- "it passes through" -> "through which it passes"
- "Egremont road (see #History). " not needed.
- "the survey grid turning approximately 45° relative to Adelaide Metcalfe" sorry, I'm being dense but I don't follow this at all.
- "only a few years before" not really encyclopedic tone.
- " of Lake Erie" could link.
- Lake Huron - likewise.
- "to compliment the" complement.
- 'work to be done gradually' completed instead of "done". Or "carried out"...
- "22.75 km (14 mi)" strange 2 dp to 0 dp conversion.
- "5.5 kilometres (3.4 mi) section" adj=on here.
- Suddenly you go back to expanding km to kilometre?
- ISBNs should be consistently formatted.
That's all I have, so on hold for now. Cheers. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 07:11, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
- All but two issues are fixed. So, for the ISBNs, I've always followed what is shown in the source I used; what is the proper format for the 10 and 13 digit ones? As for the "the survey grid turning approximately 45°" – I knew this would come up and I was awaiting it for some advice from someone who isn't as entwined in the topic. So if you take a look on a satellite image, the farms west of Hickory Corner (the boundary between Adelaide Metcalfe and Middlesex Centre) are squared with #22; to the east they (and the crossroads) are skewed at a 45° angle. This is a result of the way the c. 1830 survey baselines for the townships were aligned (to either the St. Clair or Thames Rivers). Can you think of a way to describe that? Concession road explains the idea of surveys in Ontario a bit, so I've linked "survey grid" in the article to it. - Floydian τ ¢ 23:56, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
- I use ISBN.org's converter to convert ISBNs to the same number of digits and formatting (i.e. where the hyphens go). It's not mandated but it's better for the readers to see a more professional looking set of refs. As for your above comment, yes liking survey grid makes that sentence more comprehensible, so I'm okay with it as it stands. As such, I'll promote now. Cheers. The Rambling Man (Stay alert!
