Citation Needed for 'Joseph Pizzie as Fabrizzio' in Principal Cast Section
[edit]I am reverting this edit again, as it has been submitted without any reference whatsoever. I have seen this film recently, and built the current cast list directly from the credits on the film. There is no mention of Joseph Pizzie, nor Jenifer Rasmussen (which has appeared on earlier edits).
Of course, it is possible that Joe Pizzie actually appeared in the film as an extra, or perhaps as an 'un-credited' actor. Many local people were used during the filming, but in order to include this entry in Wikipedia, there needs to be a reference to a credible source, such as a newspaper or magazine article. A self-produced website is not sufficient.
Even if this character (Fabrizzio & Hot Blond) appeared in the film, and were referred to in that manner (I don't recall that), there needs to be some reference of that character being that person. Additionally, if that can be proven, there is still the question of notability. Was that person notable enough as an actor, to be included in Wikipedia. Yunchie (talk) 20:56, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for your review of this obscure film produced in my hometown. I, Joseph Pizzie, am the person that played Fabrizzio in the film. I was the taller of the children on the playground scene in the movie, clearly seen with the dark, curly hair. An article did appear in the local newspaper, the Painesville Telegraph, listing the "extras" used during the filming in the city of Painesville. The newspaper, formerly located on State Street, went out of business in 1986 due to poor circulation. I have checked with the local library (Morely Library) to attain a copy of that newspaper article, but all the newspaper archival records have never been converted to digital referencing. They remain on microfilm. I live in Denver, Colorado presently and do not have the access to the microfilmed records, unfortunately.
- Thank you for the edit of my addition, but would you please put my credit back in the posting. Joepizzie2 (talk) 03:28, 20 February 2010 (UTC) Joseph Pizzie the Fabrizzio in One Potato, Two Potato
- Thank you for responding. I just took a look, several times, at the playground scene in the movie. The best that I could tell from your description, might be a boy in the distant background playing catch with a circle of other children. Even if I am wrong about that, there is no mention of anyone named 'Fabrizzio' in that scene. However, none of this really matters, as what is important is the newspaper article that you mention. If it lists you amongst the extras in the production of this film, then I think that story could be incorporated as an improvement to this article. Even so, I do not feel that an addition to the cast list is the proper place. Rather, a paragraph or two talking about how local people were used as extras would be a nice addition. If it were written correctly, names could certainly be used.
- It is possibly a conflict of interest for you to perform these edits. It is somewhat of one for me as well, as I am also from that town and was present during many of the film's scene productions. However, I am not claiming to be part of the story, and working to maintain Wikipedia's neutral point of view. I also worked as an editor at The Telegraph for a few years in the mid-1960's. I am also working on other Wikipedia pages in that area.
- I am going to contact someone I know that may have the article that you are talking about. Even if I can't get a copy directly from him, perhaps I can get the date, so I can have someone at the Morley Library research the microfilm for a copy. In the meantime, please answer a few questions for me if possible? 1. Another editor and I had been discussing the location of that schoolyard, and could not settle on an answer. Since you were there, could you tell us the name of the school, and where it was? 2. Please explain the 'Fabrizzio' reference better. 3. Who is Jenifer Rasmussen, and why 'Hot Blond'? I see your photo in a Harvey High School yearbook, but not hers.
- Please keep in mind, that my efforts here are not to block your desire from being acknowledged for your part in this film, however small that may be. But, to insure that it is done within the style and standards of Wikipedia as an encyclopedia. This article needs a lot of improvement, and I appreciate your cooperation very much.Yunchie (talk) 17:29, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
