what do we need this page for? all the other lower PPV are on a page listed by PPV, why do the 2007 PPV's have a seperate page for all the PPV themselves??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.84.243.149 (talk) 18:31, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Because editors have taken it upon themselves to create the articles and source them. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 18:37, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About the expansion of this Aftermatch section....didn't John Cena defend his championship in a Triple-Threat Match against Khali and Umaga? I remember Cena pinning Khali after an FU, and I know the title was on the line. It was after One Night Stand...I just forget if it was the night after or the week after...--Lord Dagon (talk) 14:05, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was the night after: http://www.onlineworldofwrestling.com/results/raw/070604.html . TJ Spyke 03:20, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pre-GA Review

[edit]

I've got a lot of stuff going on right now, so I will have to do this review a little at a time. From what I've seen so far:

Background

[edit]
  1. "The main event and main match" in the second lead paragraph sounds odd. Perhaps just "The main match on the RAW brand..." would work better.
     Done
  2. The first sentence of the second lead paragraph is a little long. I would recommend splitting it so that "Cena won by pinning Khali after executing an FU off a crane onto the arena floor." is its own sentence.
     Done
  3. "Main" is kind of overdone in the lead. I would recommend "The undercard featured..."
     Done
  4. In the "Background" section, "main" is overdone again. Can we alternate "primary" with "main"?
     Done
  5. The lead says that Lashley faced Vince McMahon, but the Background section states that Lashley fought Team McMahon. Should this say, "The other feud featured on the One Night Stand card consisted of both RAW and ECW superstars."?
     Done
  6. The stipulations for the Lashley/Team McMahon match at Judgment Day are unclear. Were all of the wrestlers in the ring at the same time? Did Team McMahon compete as a tag team? Could a member of Team McMahon have won the ECW title?
     Done
  7. The May 28 match was a Handicap match, right? This could be stated in the text so that casual readers aren't confused.
     Done

Event

[edit]
  1. In the first paragraph of the "Event" section, Orton "hitting" Van Dam with a DDT seems like jargon. "Performed" or something similar would work better than "hitting".
     Done
  2. In the second paragraph of the event section, I find the following sentence confusing: "Burke ended up on the table, with Punk performing a suplex on Striker off the top rope and through the table to win the contest." Did Burke go through the table or did Striker? If it was Striker (as the sentence seems to imply), what happened to Burke?
     Done.
  3. "Advantage" is used too much in the third paragraph of the "Event" section. It probably isn't necessary to clarify who had the advantage at all times, so at least one of the "advantage"s should probably go.
     Done.
  4. I'm not sure how the botched springboard fits into the description. Did he not mean to kick the ladder?
IMO, he botched a springboard attempt onto the ladder, but was able to flip and kick the ladder from underneath Jeff. –LAX 10:15, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  5. Shelton Benjamin should be referred to as "Benjamin", not "Shelton".
     Done.
  6. In the fifth paragraph of the "Event" section, it might help readers if the article said "Coast-to-Coast dropkick". I don't know if this is an unnecessary addition, though.
     Done.
  7. In the same paragraph, I'm wondering about the trash can. Was Umaga holding it, was it just sitting in front of Lashley, or what was happening? I think specifying this would help a casual reader understand why a trash can was involved.
     Done.
  8. The description of the pudding match is very brief, and this stands out in contrast to the other match descriptions. Is it possible to add a little bit about what happened in this match?
  9. In the steel cage match, do I understand correctly that the wrestlers could win either by escaping the cage or pinning their opponent?
     Done.
  10. In the final paragraph of the "Event" section, "had the offensive" sounds awkward.
     Done.

Aftermath

[edit]
  1. The "Aftermath" section needs expansion. Can more be said about any of these feuds?
     Done
  2. The discussion of Vince McMahon in the "Aftermath" section is too point of view (acting strangely, scheduling unreasonable matches, odd behavior). "appeared traumatized" is probably original research. This should be just a statement of the facts. What was the odd behavior? Can you find a source to verify that people considered these matches unusual or unreasonable?
I found some; according to his OWOW profile. Would that work? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 19:35, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I added the reference from WWE (Crazy like a fox) to the first sentence, which I think helps. The word "unreasonable" is still problematic, and it should be removed or cited. GaryColemanFan (talk) 19:10, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    I have removed "unreasonable." –LAX 19:19, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's all that I can see. I did some copyediting on the article, but I think these should be addressed before nominating it for GA status. I hope this helps, and please get in touch if you have questions about any of these. GaryColemanFan (talk) 22:11, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA Review

[edit]

This review is transcluded from Talk:One Night Stand (2007)/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

Like, did he say "let's do a Count Anywhere" and when Cena said "okeys", he chokebombed him then and there?

Cena accepted Khali's challenge and then they had a confrontation, which led to Khali chokebombing him. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 00:33, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rest seems good... check the sourcing issue noted above. giggy (:O)

Unless somebody gets to it first, I'll work on this when I get home later. -- iMatthew T.C. 10:28, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that this review has been on hold for seven days. Can you please let me know what still needs to be done? I'm sure that we (WP:PW) can make all of the necessary fixes, so I'd appreciate it if you could continue the hold. Thanks, GaryColemanFan (talk) 14:02, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Passing now (sorry, big watchlist). giggy (:O) 00:04, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Passed. giggy (:O) 00:06, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

One Night Stand 2007 Theme

[edit]

It might not be stated, but except from the original PPV's theme, there was a different main theme on the main menu of One Night Stand 2007 dvd. Does anyone know which one is it, or how is it named?Miltiadis Redearth (talk) 17:12, 6 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
