[edit]The Mark Andrews linked in this article is most likely a different person than the one who directed the film One Man Band. Disambiguation is needed.
Disambiguation is also needed from the musical genre; we're blocking Mayor McCA, Hasil Adkins, and The Lonesome Organist here! --scruss 15:51, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Technological breakthroughs?
[edit]Each Pixar short is usually a testing ground for experimental rendering techniques that usually ends up in the subsequent feature film (cloth, skin, feathers, hair, outdoor vistas, etc). What new development was shown in this short? Navstar 05:20, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
- According an interview in Animation World Magazine, no new technology was used in this short [1] Navstar 05:38, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- If nothing else, I think this is the first Pixar short to feature dueling one-man bands... — tregoweth (talk) 21:01, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- According to this [[2]], "With the short films, we try out new technology and use them to train new directors," Shurer says. "Also (we break in) other lead production people. So, on One Man Band, we had a first-time director, a first-time lead animator, a first-time production designer."
I would consider editing or removing the line "The story might be considered a fictionalized retelling of the relations between two animation studios (such as Pixar and Pacific Data Images) as they go to more and more elaborate lengths to amuse a small child." as it is without reference and based on a somewhat vague possible interpretation of the film. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.58.149.137 (talk) 21:44, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:OneMandBandfilm.jpg
[edit]Image:OneMandBandfilm.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
