[edit]"It has been suggested that the electric guitar parts played in Donovan's psychedelic 1968 single "Hurdy Gurdy Man" were played by Halsall." Perhaps it has somewhere, but while the identity of the guitarist is the subject of debate, Halsall isn't one of the names that turns up most often. It's most likely Alan Parker, but the other leading candidates are Jimmy Page and Allan Holdsworth.71.190.94.240 (talk) 01:52, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
Left Handed
[edit]Mr Halsall was an extraordinary guitar player but I don't think that left-handedness was what made him notable. I don't see why this has to be the first thing that appears here. He was a guitarist, a very original guitarist and one who influenced many others. The fact that he was left handed is incidental. Does anybody object if I remove that? what's rather more interesting about his guitar playing is the sweeping legato style he developed partly as a result of the way he had to wear the guitar to accommodate playing the vibes as well. but until/unless a good source to corroborate this is found, the observation can stay here.
