Appearance in Valiant

[edit]

Made a quick edit to the article. It said that Olivia Williams appeared in.........Valiant. Valiant is actually a computer-animated film. I wrote that she 'lent her voice' to the film. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.208.115.147 (talkcontribs) 03:11, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

footnote #3

[edit]

There's no reference in that interview and blurb to Williams beating out other actresses for the role of Ms. Cross. Atrivedi (talk) 01:38, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, good job. — Cheers, Truth's Out There talk 17:42, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

In the late 1989ties she had a "relationship" with the (later) Polish forein minister Radek Sikorski. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:16B8:2A0B:B200:E8C5:8F45:9634:C946 (talk) 00:34, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also she had a relationship with Craig Ferguson. She was on his talk show three times and they always talked quite openly about their earlier relationship. --Anvilaquarius (talk) 13:45, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Relationship with Craig ferguson

[edit]

They had a relationship, they've discussed it on his show multiple times. I have entered this into her "personal section" - and user Joeyconnick says that relationship information doesn't belong in the article because it doesn't comply with WP:NOTGOSSIP. I've read that policy, there's nothing in it that denies the inclusion of relationship information. I agree with Anvilaquarius This is a Bio page, of course it would have a relationship detailed here. Deathlibrarian (talk) 01:16, 3 May 2021 (UTC) The addition of this information complies with WP:BLP, and this information isn't gossipso you can't invoke it. If anyone has any issues, please speak up!Deathlibrarian (talk) 05:43, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

We're not an indiscriminate collection of information. Just because something is verifiable (i.e. discussed in sources) doesn't mean it's worthy of inclusion. The entertainment press cares who is dating, or who has dated, whom. An encyclopedia, which this is, does not. Unless the fact of their having dated has some other impact on either of their lives, it falls under WP:NOTGOSSIP and WP:NOTNEWS pure and simple. You can go read all about it in People or E! but it doesn't belong in this venue. Dating without some other aspect (engagement, marriage, children, shared business interests, etc.) is simply not notable for inclusion here. —Joeyconnick (talk) 06:50, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Relationship information is normally included as part of any bio, see here and here You keep quoting WP:not Gossip WP:NOTGOSSIP - which does not apply - Gossip is defined by wikipedia "Gossip is idle talk or rumour, especially about the personal or private affairs of others" Its not rumour, it is verifiable fact. There's nothing in wikipedia that says relationships have to be actual marriages to be included in a BIO article!. Deathlibrarian (talk) 23:20, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
