General Quality

[edit]

This article seriously needs improving. It does not appear to have any factual references, and it is blatantly written from a biased perspective. Back and Forth (talk) 21:30, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • If you had the common decency to wait you'd see it is now referenced and that it is not written from a biased perspective. Try signing your comments as well! Paste (talk) 21:22, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • One source is not good enough. It needs to be verified. And your implication that I am lacking in 'common decency' - which is arguably pretty uncommon in the world at the moment - constitutes a personal attack. I created the above message having noted the poor quality of the article, as Wikipedian policy dictates. The fact that you turned up quite literally seconds later is irrelevant. Please avoid such action in future. Back and Forth (talk) 21:30, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • It would be irrelevant if not for the fact that 'I'd turned up 9 minutes before! Why not try and improve it rather than flying in, criticizing and then going?' Paste (talk) 21:37, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Please don't accuse me of 'blatantly writing from a biased perspective as well'!.Paste (talk) 21:40, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Very well, I apologise for accusing you of 'blatantly writing from a biased perspective as well', but you have still not addressed the issue of your own personal attacks. I really do not think this discussion is becoming very productive. Back and Forth (talk) 21:46, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • And I did not attempt to improve the article because I lacked the knowledge and citations to edit the article properly, so I wished to point out the article in order for someone better suited to editing it (you are very probably such a person) to actually make the contribution. Back and Forth (talk) 21:46, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you, I'm happy to agree my comment was a bit strong as well. Paste (talk) 21:45, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Nice of you to say I am probably such a person, but I've never seen the drama and never heard of the actor before this evening! I just 'googled' him as the original article was an attack page and couldn't be left.Paste (talk) 21:52, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"French" accent

[edit]

I'm having a bit of a problem with this article stating as fact that he has a slight French accent, as after listening to several interviews with him, it's clear he speaks RP English as Englishly as the next middle-class English actor. However, since he personally made the claim that he has a "slight French accent", isn't it more accurate to say that he "claims to have" this Gallic flair? 151.225.60.179 (talk) 18:46, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
