Portable pike

This made DYK on Marchn 3, 2015. My question is, how did they send it? Did they have FedEx in 15th century Norway? Sca (talk) 13:53, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That detail wasn't recorded, unfortunately, at least not that I read. From what I can tell on Google Maps, a trip from Herjedalen (now Härjedalen) to Trondheim (what was Nidaros), would be about two days on foot. If it was cold, maybe you wouldn't have had to worry about the fish spoiling, but I would imagine that it was preserved in some way. There were lots of food preservation methods available in the fifteenth century. — AJDS ^talk 21:50, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
