This article misses OKHSV and OKHSL
[edit]The only note "However, it is not suitable for image blending or processing, for which the gamma-expanded linear RGB color space is more appropriate." is not completely true. Using OKHSV or OKHSL is way better for many processings.
I'm using OKHSV to blend images using Hue, Saturation or Value, and OKLAB values for blending the L channels. For Retinex I'm using OKHSV. For vibrance OKHSL works better.
See here for OKHSV and OKHSL : https://bottosson.github.io/posts/colorpicker/ Parazythum (talk) 19:24, 31 January 2025 (UTC)
- How exactly are you "blending images using Hue" though? What's the hue between 0 and 359? bungalo (talk) 19:27, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
What's the LMS transform?
[edit]The article says that l,m,s are the result of converting from XYZ to an LMS color space and gives a matrix of coefficients. However, this matrix doesn't match any of the matrices given on the LMS color space page. If so, is it really an LMS color space? Some explanation is needed. bungalo (talk) 19:25, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
