KOHL

I may do it later on, but I'm surprised that this article doesn't mention Ohlone being the 'home' of KOHL radio station...--Joel Lindley (talk) 17:25, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Added a section on Broadcasting Department because of its uniqueness of having a TV & Radio station. -- Mayawi (talk) 04:15, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Entire Article Needs to Be Re-Worked

This article reads like an advertisement for some of the college's programs, rather than an appropriate, professional article about the college. It's clearly been added to by people who teach at (or otherwise work for) the institution. It needs to be re-worked completely. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.4.206.143 (talk) 02:53, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Segregationist?

Why does it say Ohlone is a segregationist college? i'm a student here and to my knowledge there is nothing segregationist about the school; Ohlone is extremely proud of it's diversity, our motto is "a world of cultures united in learning". i'm removing the segregationist bit until somebody can find a source. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.5.169.92 (talk) 11:38, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Environmental Studies Department: If I wanted a reason to go there, I'd go to the Ohlone Site, not Wikipedia.

This section was obviously written with advertising intentions. Beginning with a quote from Carl Sagan, really? Unless it is a fact that their program regards this, get rid of it! This whole section needs to be redone.

Regarding Sagan's quote:

...with this question and the namesake of our college in mind...

Our? It does oddly say Alviso Slough, but no reference to if it was he who said this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Harleh (talkcontribs) 01:32, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Advertising

I cleaned up the article a lot. An article about a community college doesn't need information about every single department or program the college has. However, Deaf Studies and Broadcasting are the main parts to keep since very few colleges have either of those which makes them of some interest. I only suggest when adding information, just keep to the facts and try to avoid overly promotional material. Mateinsixtynine (talk) 18:23, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
