Were there really schools in Oerlikon in 946?

[edit]

The article states:

Oerlikon was mentioned for the first time in the year 946 (other source: 942) as Orlinchowa. At that time the town consisted of no more than one dozen houses and was part of the municipality Schwamendingen, where the inhabitants of Oerlikon went to school and attended church.

I would suggest that if the inhabitants of Oerlikon were attending something recognisable as a school that long ago, this should be picked out as a truly notable fact. On the other hand it isn't sourced, so I wonder how true it is. Will add cite needed. -- chris_j_wood (talk) 16:43, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article for the neighboring settlement of Schwamendingen has a likewise unsourced statement of "10 houses in 915". Thus I suspect there exists some kind of census document for the 10th century Zürich area. Would be great to get a source reference for that. But the "went to school there" mention sounds very unlikely for that time period, gonna erase that. 92.201.123.75 (talk) 10:37, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
