In 1703 the new Rehberg Ditch was completed, diverting water from the river Oder ....

— There's something I don't understand here: The River Oder (Oderfluß) must be about 100 miles from the Harz, yet the German version of this (interesting) article says the Rehberg Ditch (Rehberger Graben) is 7.25 km long. — ??

Oder here refers to the smaller river Oder in the Harz, not the major central European river forming part of Germany's border with Poland. See Oder (Harz). --Bermicourt (talk) 21:13, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
