NPOV
This article seems like it was written with a very libertarian perspective on the subject of occupational licensing, which may not reflect a Neutral Point of View on this subject. There are multiple political views that could be relevant to this subject, which I think should be more objectively discussed.
Should this article be re-written to describe this profession in a more non-partisan, objective manner? 27.253.115.23 (talk) 13:53, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
This is super biased.
This article strikes me as amazingly biased towards this position:
"requiring a license to do work is stupid"
Shouldn't a plumber have a license? Can't he fuck up plumb intalations?
Merger proposal

I propose merging Licensure into this page. Here's why:
- I think these are basically equivalent terms (this page gives 'Occupational Licensure' as an alternative title)
- The other page is older and less well developed
- The issue is gaining traction politically, particularly in the US, and 'Occupational Licensing' seems to be the more popular termterm[1]
Bringing over the 'criticism' section could help address the above point about bias.
