Slum
[edit]Otara is far from a slum. Poor - yes, a slum - no. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sandbaggin' (talk • contribs) 13:38, 28 September 2005 (UTC)
Gang
[edit]I removed "OMC is also said to stand for Otara Motorcycle Club, a gang." If it can be substantiated that the band's name is a reference to such a motorcycle club, pls reinstate it. Nurg 01:58, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
Bankruptcy
[edit]I removed "In 2004 Fuemana declared himself bankrupt.", which though possible, is unsubstantiated, and I was unable to find anything to that effect after a cursory search... TheWama 6:56, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
There is now a more recent reference to a June, 2006 bankruptcy - See http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/1/story.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10387024 Gsland 16:13, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Prison?
[edit]I remember that during the VH1 100 Greatest One-hit Wonders special, it was said the members of OMC were in a gang and prison in NZ before hitting it big. Can anyone confirm this? - Thanks, Hoshie 19:32, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
Sales
[edit]Excuse me, nubs, the figure is still unheard of, he has still outsold any existing NZ act. Please to not be changing 2005->1995. Kay thanks. Bye. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.184.8.143 (talk) 10:04, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Moved from Otara Millionaires Club to OMC (band)
[edit]While OMC stands for Otara Millionaires Club, OMC is by far the more commonly known name of the band worldwide. -- Samir धर्म 10:06, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- Otara Millionaires Club = 278 Ghits [1] only -- Samir धर्म 10:10, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Album dates
[edit]It looks like the discography is listeing the date of when the single "How Bizarre" was released. The ALBUM was released Feb 25, 1997. I'll just update that... Ajisukitakahikon 21:04, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
Pauly Fuemana
[edit]Looking at the video of OMC's latest song, Fuemana looks very different from when he appeared on the "How Bizarre" video. Anyone got any info on Fuemana between '97 and '07? (which may also answer some of the topics mentioned in the discussion) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 202.150.114.71 (talk) 12:17, 4 February 2007 (UTC).
There was a story on TV2's 20/20 program on 27/2/2007 interviewing Pauly and talking about how the band broke up and he went bankrupt. Not to mention his life before fame with OMC.
This is the TV2 programme refer above http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9inDbPSRNvk Sioneholof (talk) 03:42, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Bankruptcy
[edit]Here[2] is a 2006 article on Fuemana's bankruptcy. Probably should be included in the article somehow. Ultraviolet 03:50, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Pauly droll.jpg
[edit]Image:Pauly droll.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Was in the US before 1997...
[edit]I'm from Australia, but I lived in the US until mid-1996, and I definitely heard this song over there.Davez621 (talk) 17:49, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
are the dates correct?
[edit]The dates are all over the place in this article.
It states the "How Bizarre" song was released in 1996, the album was released in 1997 but the band slit up by 1995.
Doesn't make any sense at all.
Rockatteer (talk) 01:31, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Pauly and Alan formed the band, and wrote a good song but never released it. The band broke up. Pauly then pushed the song as a solo artist, but still using the OMC name. The song got released, and took off world wide. Then the full album got done. Or something like that. Hope this clears it up. Cheers Esradekan Gibb "Talk" 02:24, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Errors
[edit]How a user messed up the OMC / Pauly Fuemana pages and caused a chain of misinformation http://www.opdiner.com/2010/02/sitting-up-front-elivisi-by-wheel.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.122.99.73 (talk) 05:23, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

4 All of Us
[edit]Removing this track from the data, as has been done repeatedly by someone who doesn't quite understand the subject really takes a crucial part of the story out of the page. The single was NZ's last sighting of Pauly and the publicity surrounding it proved to be quite a media talking focal point for. The failure of this single is important to understanding what happened to Pauly. It's also important as it was a reunion of the two estranged crucial parties in the OMC story. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Snig27 (talk • contribs) 09:54, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
- I agree. It is conventional for a discography to include all the band/ artist's official releases, not just those which charted, and as the above editor pointed out, in this case it is a significant piece of the story. Contains Mild Peril (talk) 03:29, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
And I've had to re-edit this and re-add as someone erroneously removed it yet again

Sinaia Sapaia
[edit]Sapaia is not a member of OMC band, so I removed it. If reverting please update with references. 188.25.51.200 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 18:55, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
She is a backing singer, as is this other woman featured on their only other big hit "Land of Plenty" called Taisha Khutze.PeterMan844 (talk) 18:46, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
