Meaning of "O.P.P" (moved from Talk:OPP)

[edit]

OPP does not stand for "other people's privates." As described in the 1991 Naughty By Nature hit, what the last "p" stands for is "not that simple." The rap goes on to describe it as a "five letter word" and "another way to call a cat a kitten." The next verse describes it as another five letter word rhyming with "cleanest and meanest." These words are "pussy" and "penis," respectively. It is only in the next line that the rap calls the last "p" "property" to "do it sorta properly." 207.172.222.90 22:08, 11 January 2006 (UTC) Me[reply]

moron. the entire point of the song was that it could stand for anything.
Do you read the page you are editing anonymous poster? It seems all you are doing here is trolling around attacking without a base making no valid points. The above person is correct. O.P.P. means Other People's Property, a term used specifically for promiscuity. The property means in relation to the song "other people's pussy" and for a woman, it means "other people's penis". User:thecause 05-14-2006.
Right now, the article says that the song title's acronym stands for "other people's pussy", which is not true. The last P can mean either pussy or penis, depending on who is listening to the song. That's why they rap "For the ladies OPP means something different, the first two letters the same the last is something different." and "The last P...well...that's not that simple.". That's why it's easier to describe the last P as "property", which they do. This article says that OPP stands for "other people's pussy", which is only 50% true. --82.171.70.54 (talk) 16:17, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:O.P.P..jpg

[edit]

Image:O.P.P..jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Reference to rocklist.net

[edit]

I don’t quite see how the rocklist website is a good source to the “Source” magazine. This site could publish anything (plus it doesn’t look very professional and trustworthy). The original source of the magazine would be more appropriate, wouldn’t it? 83.221.92.37 (talk) 21:14, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I thought it was own personal pu***, not someone else's

[edit]

I thought it meant your girlfriend. This is how it was explained to me back in the day. Srsly. TCO (talk) 20:55, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
