A fact from Nyeema Morgan appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 6 March 2021 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Hi Possibly. Thank you for helping with the article. I was disappointed to see it nominated for deletion and would appreciate your feedback on how to improve it. The interview portion of that reference from BOMB is indeed primary, but it is only being used to verify the titles of Morgan's works and a brief description of her installation. Should I be trying to include a larger number of reliable sources at this point? gobonobo+c05:48, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Gobonobo: I think the main issue is that she is on the cusp of her career, so coverage is a little sparse. I'm not sure how many artist bios you have worked on,but we usually don't include a list of works, unless they are a heavy hitter artist or there is very good coverage. It is much better, I think, to mention the specific piece inline in a "work" or "career" section. Also, the dealer reference not going to be contributory to notability. If you can find more RS that is of course a good idea. Hope that helps. Possibly (talk) 06:02, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Possibly: I took out the list of works and eliminated the dealer reference. I'm at the point where most of the good reliable sources that can be found online are included. There's plenty of offline sources as well, but I'm not sure they'll help. Like, exhibition catalogues might meet WP:RS, but I suspect they wouldn't win any points at AfD. gobonobo+c03:14, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Gobonobo: Thanks. Like I said I think the notability is right on the edge. In 5 years it will probably not be a problem. There are a bunch of us who frequent the artist AfD's (Netherzone, Theredproject, Vexations), so you will not doubt get more opinions shortly. I'm going to go and look at the collections she is in. New enough, created 6 Feb, nom 13 Feb; long enough, 6736 char, neutral, no apparent copyvios, cited, QPQ done, no photo in nom. (Comment that has nothing to do with the DYK nom, assuming this is a selfie - you can see her left shoulder appears to be raised - do we have a release from her for its use? Were it me, I would place that documentation, or at least a note of when she released it on the commons file so that other users were certain of its provenance.) Hook0 has 91 char and is cited in the article, though I think it is less "hooky" and has less broad appeal than alt1. Alt1 has 104 char, is cited, and has broad appeal IMO. Alt2 has 119 char, is cited, and has broad appeal. Thanks for creating it, very interesting article. Note to set builders, would be a good hook for International Women's Day, March 8, if it does not make it in for Black History Month. SusunW (talk) 15:23, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
