[edit]Isn't the Rogun Dam already higher than this one? Rmhermen 23:11, August 19, 2005 (UTC)
- The Rogun dam is not complete; in fact it suffered major damage in a flood some years back. If it's not a functioning dam, it doesn't count. :) Bantman 01:28, August 20, 2005 (UTC)
By the end of 2009 rogun will start its function then it will be the tallest dam157.157.111.2 16:02, 2 October 2006 (U
- The Rogun is still in the air now, could be a long time with transboundary water disputes.--NortyNort (Holla) 13:14, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
6 meters
[edit]This material which contains a useful link to the 2008 Central Asia energy crisis is not accurate. According to http://tajikistan.neweurasia.net/2008/03/03/electricity-crisis-solved-in-dushanbe/ the dam was full throughout the crisis, even gaining water. In any event, such a massive dam could not fill so rapidly. Fred Talk 14:12, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
In February 2008, during the 2008 Central Asia energy crisis, the reservoir fell to six meters, a worryingly low level according to energy sector representatives.[1]
