Encore! Encore!
[edit]These guys were great! My husband and I had the TV on just waiting for them to come on. When he stepped outside for a bit to talk to neighbors they came on and so I hollered "It's those Antarctica dudes now!" everyone in earshot ran inside to listen. I have one question though about the footage of the penguins - did they pay for their tickets or were they let in for free seeing as they are a threatened species?LiPollis 04:33, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
Disease Name?
[edit]what's the name of the disease? this is wikipedia, we're allowed to say dirty words when it's significant. Amirman 15:19, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
- You may watch the german version of the article.--NSX-Racer 01:51, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
Unfortunately, that doesn't answer the question, and may be a problem for the many of us who can't speak/read German. And Amirman is correct, this is wikipedia, the bands original name should be included, even if it can sound inappropriate. Tonerman 19:19, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- It's written in english in the german article: Rat shit death.--NSX-Racer 12:46, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Proposed merger
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.
The result was no merge. --Paul Erik 05:16, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose: I do not think this band page should be merged with Live Earth concert, Antarctica. I know they were the only performer at the Antarctic "show", but they are a separate entity from that show. I also think their appearance will lead to more opportunities, appearances, and success, and that would be relevant to the band's page, not the Live Earth page. --Mtjaws 14:10, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose: for all the same reasons posted aboove. In addition, It isInternational Polar Year and the band is planning on doing something to promote awareness of that. I suspect they will become much more visible now. Leave article as is.LiPollis 15:06, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose. The band itself has sufficiently demonstrated notability, and to merge it with the concert is to predict the future by assuming that they will never do anything else of interest. -FisherQueen (Talk) 15:38, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose: Although the band was the only performance at Live Earth Antartica, they are still a separate entity and deserve a page of their own. --Aremith Talk 20:38, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose: Sure, they performed at Live Earth. But so did many others! Just because they're not a well known band doesn't mean they don't deserve their own page. Crushedmidnight 01:35, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose: For all the reasons listed above. Notability can bite me. Thanos6 02:15, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose: per above comments and all the reasons mentioned above. The band is notable for its separate article. —Anas talk? 02:26, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose: They're a separate band, they deserve their own page for the reasons stated. Dragosian 09:59, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose: It would leave a blank in the concert articles. WestJet 21:07, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose For all reasons listed above. Thamusemeantfan 23:36, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose - do - [Nikhilhuilgol 07:18, 12 July 2007 (UTC)]
- Oppose - such a merge would have no sense - this band is unique.--NSX-Racer 12:47, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose per other notes.--Eva bd 22:18, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose: This way, if you are researching Live Earth, you get the minimum info, but if you care about the trivia, you can click on Nunatak for more.Michaeljwsiegel 11:33, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- Strong Oppose as per stated above. -- Kai talk 11:54, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
