Interpreting Dates

[edit]

Bear in mind that any dates given in the series are questionable: both The Village and Number 6 are masters of disinformation.

Fair use rationale for Image:Number Six in his house.JPG

[edit]

Image:Number Six in his house.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

the clothes

[edit]

"Also, Drake seems to prefer business suits with ties while Number Six's clothing of choice is a dark button-down sweater beneath a dress-jacket."

drake definitely wears the business suits in the '60-'62 shows, but by the hour-long installments, he's swinging, hard. just look at the trippy clothes he's wearing in the first hour-long, w/n. macginnis; and by the time we reach 'the paper chase', near the series' end, he's in an all-black outfit only a short step away from number six garb territory.

the point being that the stated difference between drake's & six's clothes isn't dramatic, and therefore not a real argument for their being two different men. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.22.12.54 (talk) 06:14, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

time frame

[edit]

I removed the following sentence from the article:

Although Danger Man is clearly placed in the 1960s, no firm time frame is ever suggested as to when the events of The Prisoner takes place.

There are clues. The Lotus Seven he drives began production in 1957, and his comment to Number Two in The Chimes of Big Ben lets us know it was before the moon landing. Those two facts place us firmly in the 60's or late 50's. I'm sure there are more clues, but those are the two that immediately jumped to mind when I read that sentence in the article. Alcohol and Cigarettes

[edit]

Regarding this section, I do agree that there are differences between Drake and Six, but the differences aren't so vast. I've seen The Prisoner at least three times over now, and I remember something about the context of his lack of drinking, in addition to something about his smoking habits. There weren't any alcoholic beverages in the Village, barring one certain area where a Number Two was able to relax without being observed. In addition, the episode The Schizoid Man, makes a big deal about Six's preferred brand of black cigarettes vs white, and Six had cigarettes around his house. I feel that some of these details could and should be mentioned, but I can't figure out the proper formatting or context for them. 24.11.110.62 (talk) 02:40, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
