GA Reassessment

- I am reviewing this article as part of GA Sweeps. This is a good looking article that is a little sloppy compared to current standards. It could use a little tightening to make me happy and to bring it in line with the current standards of WP:WIAGA. I am about to outline a partial list of issues that need to be addressed. After I post this listing, I will give concerned and interested editors a week before I reevaluate the article's quality rating. I will be following along with the progress of the article and may make additional comments as it is appropriate.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 07:11, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

- According to the alt text checker the image needs WP:ALT text.
- According to the links checker the article has fifteen deadlinks.
- Why does this article have a one sentence paragraph?
- I don't do many album articles, but it seems to me that current standards are to create a table for track listings. This is not required, but suggested, if I am correctly interpreting today's stylistic preferences. It seems the first four albums currently at GAC are half table and half not. You can leave it or change it, but I think the tables look better.
- Why is the Europe release date in the LEAD when it sold more albums in the U.S. and Japan?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 07:23, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Why is the time length difference only 2:41 when the bonus tracks are over 7 minutes (11 in Japan)?Sorry, I just woke up. Please add Japan length to infobox, if possible.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 15:31, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Additional suggestions
[edit]I made a couple of fixes, and have the following minor suggestions:
- Numbers need to be looked at with WP:MOSNUM in mind.
- Platinum could benefit from an inline to the correct usage.
- Magazine name references (such as Billboard) should be italicized.
- Hyphens where appropriate should be em dashes or en dashes.
- Can the 2005 sales figure be updated?
- "songs she unsuccessfully campaigned for the commercial release of" is AWK and probably would read better if re-worded.
- Block quotes should not be in italics, per the MOS.
- A number of words/names are inlined more than once (e.g., Billboard 200); once is preferred. This is especially true in the footnotes.
