Merge
[edit]Shouldnt Nuit be merged with this article to provide credibile evidence of Nuit existing outside of Thelema? I'm gonna suggest it. Zos 09:38, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- No, it most definitely should not. The article Nuit is strictly about the historical Egyptian deity. It's content should not be replicated here, as it is only a mouse-click away. -999 16:51, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
Doesnt look like anyone is doing anything with it. I'd like to add to Thelema articles as much as I can, and the perspectives outside Thelema need to be added...you seem to have a particular attitude about this. Zos 17:12, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- Please see the previous discussion of the issue on Talk:Nuit. You should always include the editors of both pages in your discussion if you want to merge. Clearly you didn't intend to include editors of the Nuit article if you didn't take the time to look at the discussion on the talk page of that article, which would show you that there is no support for a merged article, that they were, in fact, intentionally separated. -999 17:16, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
Seeing as how both of them are stubs, I don't see how it came to this. Just because there is a difference of opinion and terminology means less to me. Also, I didn't include the other page's editors, because I wanted to bring it up here first. Please lower your tone. There was not much of a discussion on the matter (on the other page). Plus neither articles are citing sources. Zos 17:26, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- Simple. The field of Egyptology does not include Thelema. Nuit is the subject of both fields, but the primary article is about an historical Egyptian deity. It is typical to seperate articles which belong to different fields - that is why there are many disambiguation pages on WP. In this case, the seperation and dabs happen to have been properly done. Those who are interested in both topics have only one mouse click to get to the related article, regardless of which article they encounter first. Why mess with it? -999 17:38, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- Seeing as how Crowleys usage is that of Egyptian, I think any evidence that it wasnt all made up, or was made up should be added to the article. I'm no longer going to attempt to merge, but this needs citations and verifiabliity. Readers may wish to know if this exists, or else it exists only in Crowleys head. Please see the talk page for Stele of Revealing as well. I've been asking for evidence of anything pretaining to Thelema, outside of Thelema, as to not make it pro-crowley, or pro-thelema. November 2007 (UTC)== XI + NU = XENU! ==
I read somewhere that this may be the origin for the Xenu of $cientology. Does anyone learned in this have any idea what this could possibly mean within the story (i.e. Humanity was cast down to Earth because of some cosmic accident that forced the United Stars to take the proceedings it did, perhapse they became astrologers)?
- afggadfg to you too. Thanks, but I don't really see the relevance of this to the article. Dan 03:33, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
