drew my attention to the American author whose bio-article deserves that unsuffixed title.
   I'm not converting that entry to one on Beth Nugent (Canada) or Beth Nugent (contestant), since my G-search <<"Beth Nugent" pageant canada 1986>> turns up only the accompanying surname page, and (only bcz "pageant" is a synonym for "contest", and [writing] contests are staples of the literary world) 29 hits for the American author.
