Company Renamed
It appears this company switching over to the name Techcomm, for reasons I don't really know. What is the best way about handling this change? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.231.103.36 (talk) 01:37, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
It's changing to Transcom, for reasons listed in the article. Photonicsguy (talk) 16:20, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
It's not an advertisement, it's a brief summary of the company history, and its locations. What else would you like?

- Phrases such as "this philosophy has helped drive NuComm to a leadership position" amd "consistently deliver breakthrough performance for its clients" show bias towards the company. Please review Wikipedia's Neutral point of view policy and re-word these and other non-neutral statements in the article. If you need assistance doing so, let me know and I can help make some changes during the next week that would better align this article with policy. --AbsolutDan (talk) 03:32, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
It's a good company, and I can vouche for it because I work there. I don't care to get them more business, and you are free to edit all you like. :) Fr0 00:55, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- Ok I've wikified and trimmed the article some, leaving as much neutral point of view content as I could. --AbsolutDan (talk) 16:28, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
Hey I added their Executive Team and another link to a NuComm App. Acid0057 06:24, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
Hey, nice addition. Just wondering if we really need the previous offices. Doesn't really seem necessary. Comments? Fr0 07:11, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
Nah I think it's neat to see the former sites that were NuComm. Acid0057 03:47, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
References
Upon closer inspection I've noticed the article doesn't contain any proper citations for the content in the article. As such it may currently fail WP:CORP. Please expand the article to include citations from reliable sources. At least one (preferably more) should be from other than the company's own website. --AbsolutDan (talk) 15:02, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Being a wikifier myself, I too can appreciate the bias this article shows. I also know this as true bias as I work at NuComm International and find it to be a rather harsh occupational atmosphere from a human perspective. In fact, there are several HRDC Canada cases open within the company (i.e. phone agents feeling pressured/stressed/harassed by superiors) so I wouldn't get too haughty on the company 'philosophies'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.191.69.149 (talk • contribs) 21:00, 1 November 2006
- I think you mean MLO cases, since the federal government has no jurisdiction when it comes to employment standards in an industry such as this. NuComm is not alone in that matter, however, as there are investigations ongoing against every call centre in St. Catharines, most notable SITEL (in fact, a former manager there told me that the MLO has a small team of three or four people who specifically handle complaints against SITEL, don't know if there is any truth to that), which just had a recent huge purge due to piss-poor management and decided to come up with things defined under law as 'trivial' for termination of the 'surplus' employees, then refused to pay in lieu of notice. There are several ongoing Human Rights Commission cases against SITEL, too. I suppose paying out settlements and fines is a cost of doing business in an industry such as this. The old joke was that for every person they fire, five more will apply for the job, but it turns out that all of the call centres in Niagara have burned through the employment pool and there is now a shortage of qualified phone monkey workers. People are flocking to that new call centre that just opened in the Falls because, finally, there's a company other than Nucomm, SITEL, Telespectrum/Intelliservices and Canadian Tire in the Niagara Region. Ok I've fixed up the article and provided references. Also I've wrote my own history section. Since the previous one was ripped directly from NuComm's homepage. Acid0057 05:42, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Cleanup
This article was in awful shape - more advertisement than anything else. I've trimmed down as much as I can at the moment, especially fluff that didn't have citations. There's still a couple questionable sections, especially in the history section. Feel free to clean further. At least now though I think we can remove the spam tag. Future editors: please remember to write this article in a neutral point of view using citations whenever possible. Thanks --AbsolutDan (talk) 14:02, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
Sounds like you have a personal issue with transcom/nucomm absolutdan. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.191.69.149 (talk) 14:13, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
