merge
[edit]The term "noxious weed" is used in the New World, but not the UK or Europe, but a similar concept exists there. WP is a catalouge of concepts not of term (for that see wiktionary). Therefore I propose a merge with weed control.--Kevlar (talk • contribs) 16:09, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

Is 'noxious weed' a specific term in western anglophone countries?
[edit]I'm a bit surprised at the article only talking about noxious weeds in the English speaking countries. Is 'noxious weed' a specific, legal term or someting alike within those legal systems? Because similar concepts exist at least in a couple of non-English speaking European countries as well, but I'm not sure whether they differenciate between invasive species and species declared as noxious weeds (which doesn't strictly imply invasive species). Thank you, whoever is able to shed some light onto this! :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.147.75.78 (talk) 10:53, 4 October 2015 (UTC)
