What is non-notable about Novara (bicycles)? REI sells more Novaras than any other brand and REI is a US and Canada-wide co-op? It would be similar to stating that Kenmore Appliances is a non-notable brand of Sears--Degen Earthfast (talk) 10:59, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
REI sells more Novarra than any other brand that REI offers, and that amount is a paltry portion of total market share for North America bicycle sales, less than 1 percent. As for why they sell more than any other brand, simply because the house brand represents the greater return. "Novarra" frames can be bought by anyone from the maker, Farily Bicycle Manufacturing of Taiwan, and afterwards equipped with components as REI does. They are not notable in any regard such as design/innovation, popularity or popular culture, proliferation, historical significance, or any factor not contained therein. The same cannot be said for the storied brands of Sears and Kenmore. Those symbols had a truly notable effect on many aspects of culture and industry, and it is widely accepted that Kenmore existed prior to becoming the appliance standard-bearer for Sears. In fact, if you found the origins of Kenmore, you would actually have a notable entry, as it's origins are lost to time as of this post.

Novarra is --definitely-- a non-notable brand, and is only a brand, not a distinct product. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.48.237.226 (talk) 20:22, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
