Erakat's cousin

[edit]

This article is about Noura Erakat, not her cousin. As I explained in my edit comments when I first removed it, the only marginal relevance his death has here is that she commented on the circumstances of his death, so her comments may be worth a brief mention, but this is not the place to rehash the cousin's death, especially so when the exact circumstances are highly disputed and subject to conflicting reports. If his death is notable enough, it may deserve its own article, but it is given undue weight in Noura's biography. And, as I also wrote, I prefer removing all of it - not every comment she has made in her lifetime needs to be included in her biography. Izzy Borden (talk) 20:55, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

OK. I have moved the text to Killing of Ahmad Erekat. Onceinawhile (talk) 21:19, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Erakat mistake reverted without explanation

[edit]

I added the following text which was reverted without explanation. Anyone want to explain why this mistake by Erakat should not be records in this article?

In August 2024 she circulated a digitally altered image that seemed to suggest that 47% of the Israeli public supported the rape of Palestinians. After it was forward by Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib its origin was clarified, with Erakat stating: "Rep Tlaib trusted me, and posting this [without] cross-checking was my mistake."[1] Ender's Shadow Snr (talk) 11:53, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
