Sterling's Peer Review

[edit]

Great, informative intro. Is there an agreement as to how many species are in the Nothonotus genus - is the list from Thomas Near et al. considered complete?

Could you have a link or a brief explanation of what a riffle domain is?

I noticed with this sentence under life history: Various life history traits like body size determine the niche range available to a particular species (Knouft, 2004), needs a period and just a [citation thing] instead of the name & date.

Sentence after: The biogeographic dispersal model has been proposed as the most likely explanation of diversification and speciation of the subgenera. - Do you mean subgenus or are there multiple subgenera?

Second sentence after Anthropogenic influences: museum specimens should be plural.

Really cool article - darters seem like a cool evolutionary model system. Have you thought about going into how male care has developed in that group? I thought that was interesting. Also, how they might be hybridizing due to higher siltation in the water and what this might do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SterlingHerron (talkcontribs) 02:04, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
