Reliability and Bias

This entry was clearly written by someone affiliated with the university, given the use of "we" several times. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.179.180.180 (talk) 15:43, 16 February 2007 (UTC).

This could be true...hard to tell, though, as the wording comes directly out of the Northwood catalog. I have looked at the Northwood website at www.northwood.edu and have found nothing to contridict this article. 70.255.194.30 19:11, 28 March 2007 (UTC) 70.255.194.30 19:11, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

"hard to tell, though, as the wording comes directly out of the Northwood catalog." I would say that absolutely confirms that the entry was written by someone affiliated with the university. Whether it was posted by someone affiliated with the university, or plagiarized by someone not, is another question, but either way it should be fixed. JFMorse 20:05, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Knightlogo.gif

Image:Knightlogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:44, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Edit Request: Founding Year and New President

Founding Year

Contrary to the opening sentence, Northwood Institute was initially opened in 1959 rather than 1961; 1961 only reflects a change in campus location rather than the foundation of the institution. The "History" section uses the correct year.

New President

The "History" section of the page does not yet show that the current University President, Dr. Kent MacDonald, has been installed as of 2019. The "quick info" panel on the right does show the correct information; the article content itself should match. [1]
