Controversy Section

I was just wondering how people felt about the mention of the Fargo Forum survey on the mascot name. I think it's pretty obvious that it is a completely non-random survey, thus it has little to no relevant information on the subject. It should already be assumed that some people are fine with the logo usage and some people aren't, that is the very definition of a controversy. How long should uncited material be left in this section before removal? Is six months enough time? How much time is appropriate if six months is not deemed sufficient? Sandcherry (talk) 04:44, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

To whom it may concern: it is not necessary to change the name, just the spelling. Sue. Johnny Cash has already written a fight song. The national organization for women should be enthusiastic, or not. A law school already exists on campus. Hi folks. I found a poll conducted by UND in the year 2000 that reports student, faculty, and staff opinions on the naming/mascot issue. I'm not sure what data can be extracted in order to better flesh out this issue -- the report contains no discussion of the results, mostly just raw numbers -- so I thought I'd post a link on this talk page. I hope there's something in it that's useful, but here it is for the sake of posterity if nothing else.
