List of works

[edit]

I'm not familiar with Wikipedia formatting techniques, but I think it would be a good idea to redo the list of works in a bulleted or tabled format instead of merely as a list spearated by commas.

yes you should bullet it. it didn't seem to work when i tried. why don't u try. Gaurav 15:18, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Pronunciation

[edit]

I always assumed, till I read the article, that the second part of his surname was Spanish and was pronounced "hoyo". Now I realise it's an anglicisation of the Italian Gioio and should probably be pronounced as it's spelled ("joyo"). Maybe we need a pronunciation note. -- JackofOz (talk) 13:29, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speaking of his name, I'm curious about the origin of the claim that his original name was Nicodemo De Gioio. I have not found this stated in any other source. In fact his biography by Thomas Bumgardner states that both his and his father's surname was Dello Joio and makes no mention of the name Nicodemo. Can someone confirm this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.15.60.18 (talk) 18:13, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
