Paratrooper

[edit]

At "Aboriginal Victoria" it states:

"Norm was also a paratrooper in the Army from 1942 to 1946. Norm lied about his age, having enlisted at the age of 16. Norm received several Medals of Service for his duty."

Uncertain whether this refers to [1], or to [2], or to someone else. Lindsay658 (talk) 10:46, 1 December 2018 (UTC) Also, further information at Magnificent in Failure, The Sporting Globe, (Wednesday, 16 April 1952), p.11.:[reply]

"At 16 [McDonald] enlisted, giving his age as 19 and through a mix-up found himself in the militia instead of the A.I.F. He struggled hard to get in to the fight. After a fruitless period on searchlights he managed to get on to a paratroopers' course, but just when he was ready to jump on anything, the war ended."
