Grammar

I found this hideous expression:

$\operatorname {E} [F]={\begin{cases}{\frac {\nu _{2}(\nu _{1}+\lambda )}{\nu _{1}(\nu _{2}-2)}}&{\text{if }}\nu _{2}>2\\{\text{Does not exist}}&{\text{if }}\nu _{2}\leq 2\\\end{cases}}$

I changed it to this:

$\operatorname {E} [F]\quad {\begin{cases}={\frac {\nu _{2}(\nu _{1}+\lambda )}{\nu _{1}(\nu _{2}-2)}}&{\text{if }}\nu _{2}>2\\{\text{does not exist}}&{\text{if }}\nu _{2}\leq 2\\\end{cases}}$

Obviously it is absurd to write "x = does not exist." What was meant was obviously "x does not exist." The "equals" sign should not be there. And if that's not absurd enough, the initial "d" in "does" was capital, as if it were the beginning of a sentence. Michael Hardy (talk) 21:43, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
