Changing redirect to 'Prohibition in the United States,' an article that did not exist when this redirect was established

[edit]

As far as I am aware, the term 'noble experiment' specifically refers to prohibition in America.

The deletion discussion that is referenced above resulted in the decision that this page should redirect to Prohibition. I wondered why the consensus was not to redirect to Prohibition in the United States, so I decided to look into the histories of these pages.

When looking into the matter I found that the consensus to redirect this page was made in June 2006. At this time the Prohibition in the United States article did not exist (since it was not created until the send of Sept. 2006), so redirecting to Prohibition was the logical conclusion at the time.

Furthermore, during the deletion review, the first section of the 'Prohibition' article was called 'Prohibition in the United States'.

Later, when the 'Prohibition in the United States' section of Prohibition was moved to its own article, it is my judgment that changing this redirect to match was overlooked.
