Merge from No. 2 Dutch Troop
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result of this discussion was to merge No. 2 Dutch Troop into No. 10 (Inter-Allied) Commando. Ckfasdf (talk) 07:41, 28 December 2021 (UTC)
I propose merging No. 2 Dutch Troop into No. 10 (Inter-Allied) Commando. I think the content in No. 2 Dutch Troop page simply too short (short text) per WP:MERGEREASON, and it can easily be included in No. 10 (Inter-Allied) Commando without cause any article-size or weighting problems.Ckfasdf (talk) 13:27, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- Support. It will always be difficult for such a small unit to justify a separate article anyway and I don't think there is any reason that any troop cannot be covered in a couple of paragraphs on this main article. —Brigade Piron (talk) 12:01, 10 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support Just stumbled upon this, but after a quick look at the Dutch unit's article, I think it is easy to agree that it should be merged with this article.EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 18:01, 9 November 2021 (UTC)

First reference to No 3 (X) Troop
[edit]The entry notes that “ James Leasor first revealed the existence of X-Troop in 1980 in his book, The Unknown Warrior,[16][a]”; the existence of No 3 Troop is referred to in the 1971 edition of the Alpine Journal in its obituary of Bryan Hilton-Jones. http://www.alpinejournal.org.uk/Contents/Contents_1971_files/AJ%201971%20322-339%20In%20Memoriam.pdf Droid45 (talk) 11:30, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
