Contested deletion
[edit]This page is not unambiguously promotional, because: what is it supposed to be promoting? this is about a technical term in Indian music. Its problem is that it lacks sourcing but the remedy for that is not speedy deletion. Ingratis (talk) 21:54, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

- Niraval also known as Neraval or Sahitya Vinyasa is considered to be one of the important features in the extempore improvisation aspect (Manodharma Sangita) of Carnatic music. Niraval is a pure Tamil word which means expansions or elaborations. Niraval is an important feature in most of the concerts by legendary artists.
- Niraval is essentially the extempore construction, elaboration and improvisation of melody for a particular line in the kriti
- The singer can drop certain words as they like without damaging the linguistic integrity of the line.
